our new town home near downtown Houston backs up to Buffalo Bayou and a new walking/jogging trail. I'm looking to replace the wooden fence with a metal fence for the visibility. I'm want it 8ft tall (to match the current 8ft fence).

I'm thinking just going with aluminum fence and possibly an iron gate for durability. Is there any reason to spend extra for iron fence other than durability? I'm thinking aluminum gets me rust prevention and LESS maintenance....I'm all about less maintenance these days. I also assume aluminum would be less expensive. Is there anything else I'm not thinking of with these options?
