Looking for recommendations on 75 inch TVs. Preferably under $1000. I know that rules out the OLED.

I would appreciate some firsthand reviews from anyone that would like to share their experience. I believe a 77 inch would also fit in the space I'm looking to hang it.

If any brands/models are noted for being thinner than others, I think that might be preferred also. thanks in advance.

I could be wrong, but at that size, the price is going to dictate the specs.

If it were me (and also exactly what I did) was go to Costco, pic the nicest Samsung I could get in the size I wanted, and went with it. My 85" replaced a Samsung 75" from 2007 and I can tell you the TV weight is epically lighter than the one it replaced.

Thanks.

One of the Samsung's was one that caught my eye. Was curious how the brands compared in that price range between LG, Samsung, and others. Are the lower price brands like TCL, hisense, etc. really below the others in quality?

I bought the TCL QM6K Pro from Costco last month. I did a fair amount of research and determined I would probably not be able to tell the difference in tvs at the higher price ranges.
It replaced a plasma we moved to the bedroom. The plasma still has the best picture of most things I looked at and it is 13 years old.
No issues and perfectly satisfied to this point.

I know your budget is $1,000, but if you can swing a little more, I HIGHLY recommend the LG 77" OLED. I have the C5 and it's amazing. If your room isn't super bright with a bunch of windows with direct sunlight, you could get the B5 OLED on sale at best buy right now for $1,499.

Looks like Best Buy and a few others still have the Samsung 75" QN70f for &1000.
Good specs and price.

That's kind of how I look at TVs. Don't really care about top of the line specs...doesn't really matter when its just Bluey playing half the day anyways. Personally, I probably won't buy another LG tv again. I feel like the thing is constantly wanting to download/install "updates". You can sit and update everything, and a few weeks later it'll want to do more updates. You can ignore it, but it sure is a hassle.

We also have a TCL and Hisense. These aren't used very often, but it feels like we're able to turn them on and watch stuff a lot quicker than the LG. I'd also look at the user interface. One of ours is GoogleTV and it's not bad. It's our game room TV and we can turn the volume down on our phone if the kids have it up too high.

Agree, I find my 14 year old Panasonic plasma still has a better picture than my OLED LG tv.

I bought a TCL 75-Inch QM7 QLED 4K Smart QD-Mini LED TV with Google TV in early December last year for my Man Cave. It was just under $900 plus tax on Amazon. It's a fantastic TV and I was going to recommend it but I see the current price is over $1600.
I am not the Six Million Dollar Man, but I might need that surgery. "We have the technology, we can rebuild him!"

I ended up with the Samsung U8000FD from Costco. $620 after tax. Almost went for an 85" but I struggled getting this one up my narrow stairs. 85" version would not have made it.

This is my first 4k tv and while sure the OLED would look pretty badass, this is going to fit my needs well.

Thanks for the input.

I like mine so much I actually paid around $300 to have it repaired last year. The repair guy - of course he did - said it was the best money I could spend on a tv at that time.
