We close on a new house next month. We have two outdoor dogs. Both claw like crazy at the back door. Even though I give them lots it attention, chew toys and take them on daily walks, they still claw at the door in occasions. And the black mouth cur stands in his hind legs can scratch 5+ feet up the door. We currently rent and the door is scratched all to hell. Luckily the previous tenant had a dog that did the same and the door was already scratched all to hell when we moved in.

My wife and I went to the big box stores and found a great full view storm door. It has a stainless steel screen instead of glass. But holy **** it was $800!

Any cheaper alternatives? The main door is the normal full view with the built in blinds. It would get marred and scratched to hell pretty quick.

Pet screen would be better. Larson doors are trash. Where are you located?
