I'm in the market for an electric wall oven since the Whirlpool junk that came from our home builder crapped out after 2 years. Looking for something more high end like Wolf or similar, but I'm not sure where is the best place to purchase these in the San Antonio area. Any suggestions?

The problem I'm having is a lot of these places typically work with home builders and treat regular retail customers like garbage. A lot of the reviews are very concerning.

I don't even absolutely need to buy a Wolf oven, but at least something higher quality that's not going to crap out in 2-3 years. I'm avoiding Whirlpool/Kitchen Aid/GE.

It seems so hard to find just a good quality oven that will last.

A brand new oven broke in 2 years? Have to feel like there's a warranty on that.

Not from what we've seen. 1 year warranty and the part that broke is some motherboard component which costs half the cost of the oven to replace, and that component is likely to crap out in another 2 years again. Ovens these days are so ridiculous with all the electronics. I seriously don't need my oven to connect to wifi.

Heard that. My brother lives in the house we grew up in. Still has the original electric oven in it. 40 years old.

His wife won't let them replace it. lol.

Both those places have pretty horrific reviews. Do y'all have personal experience using them?

I bought from Ferguson.
Find a good sales rep. There's really not much negotiation.

My friend owns C&D Appliance based in Marble Falls but they have a closer location to you in Fredericksburg. They've been a family owned business for about 40 years. I would definitely give them a shot at your business. Ask for the GM, Jeff at the Fredericksburg location or the owner, Ken at the Marble Falls location. Let them know I sent you.

Used both when I worked for a builder. I prefer Ferguson over FBS. And +1 on finding a good rep. I don't have a contact anymore otherwise I would share.

Ferguson typically deals with the contractor and designers. Atleast the big showroom one of Nakoma. Wife and I did a bit of research and went in just to feel out a couple models. We basically made the final decision while we were there but literally no one would sell us the range we wanted. Told us to make an appointment another week out. I deal with them quite a bit as an architect and even told them we had a couple projects with them currently and it basically did nothing since we were only buying a single $8000 range. Walked in to homewerks that's just around the corner and had our range ordered in about 15 minutes. Their service was pretty good and we bought a fridge a few months later from them. Fridge went out 4 years and 10 months into the warranty and we got a brand new one no questions asked.

I mean, you say that, but I can turn the oven on when I leave my office so I can put food in the oven right when I get home. It's a creature comfort.
