Planning an outing tomorrow to go browse different style vehicles, new and used. Are there any particular places I should go or stay away from. Trying to develop a plan of attack but right now I'm looking at going to most of the bigger dealerships in town and in the Boerne area just to see whats out there.

If anybody knows a better way to go about casual car shopping on a Saturday, I'm all ears and would greatly appreciate any advice on dealerships to hit up or stay away from.

Thanks in advance.

Highly recommend Ken Batchelor Cadillac at I10 and Huebner. Great selection of pre owned vehicles. Best customer service in town. You will dread going to another dealership after shopping with them.

I just went through this process last week. We really liked Alamo Toyota at 281 and 1604 but we ended up finding an awesome deal at Cecil Atkission in the Kerrville/Fredericksburg area. I would recommend both dealerships for pre owned cars.

Thanks for feedback. There are just too many places and for someone like me who isnt really sure what I'm wanting this helps. Im most likely looking for pre-owned but thats as far as I know.

If you have, or know someone with, access to USAA's car buying service thru their website, it makes it sooooo much easier. Shop new/used, by zip code, price, make, etc., and get prices without having to input contact info for a bunch of dealer sites.

For trying out different brands back to back Carmax is pretty decent.

I've had a good experience at Bluebonnet used cars on I 35 in New Braunfels. See a sales guy named Gerald.

i would 2nd going to carmax that way you can look at any model in one place. get a rough idea of the 2 or 3 you narrow it down to and hit up those dealers individually. i have had good experiences with gunn nisssan and their honda store as well. northside ford was a pain in the ass but i got my supercrew cheaper there than mccombs or bluebonnet had

North Park Toyota has always been good to us. We've used Joe Hernandez as our sales rep for the past 4 vehicles we have bought. There's not a lot of pressure for a sales from Joe which I appreciate a lot. Plus I also like the Service Department. Our scheduled appointments are actually handled on time and the work is done promptly.
