Check out Otteas on Nakoma by the airport. I've taken a few deer there. Not sure how they are on birds though.

I've used Verrip's Taxidermy in Adkins. He'll cost more than others but I don't regret it when I look at the mounts.

i would recommend Double Nickle Taxidermy in New Braunfels. i just had an aoudad done and it turned out really nice. when i dropped it off i walked through their office and they had some really nice work.

Thank you all. I called them all, each sounds reputable (though the place in Adkins doesn't do bird mounts) and decided to use Double Nickle.

Good. I would also like to pull back my recommendation for Otteas. I just got my daughters deer back and it is terrible. They also charged a premium for something that look like a beginner did. I'm very disappointed and will not be going back anymore. Glad you didn't go with my recommendation.

Jock, what are you having mounted?

I used to have Cindy Regan do birds but I think she is out of business. I'm using Steve Bradbury now.

For deer, Double Nickel in NB.
