HELP ME GET TO NICARAGUA! Howdy all! I am a Texas A&M telecommunication media studies senior. I was born and raised in San Antonio, and my mom is even president of the Aggie Moms club. In other words, I bleed maroon!

This past year was a tough year for me, but through many personal hardships the Lord has brought me to Him and really touched me in the last year, and I've felt called to spend my final college spring break on a Mission Trip!

I am going with Living Water, a church in Houston, to Nicaragua where we will be drilling a well and helping teach hygiene to the underprivileged! I'm SUPER EXCITED to be spreading the word of God by serving in this way.

My niece worked to earn 10k to go work in Tanzania for the past 6 months. Doesn't take as long as you'd think.

Well I'm going to Belize or Cancun. And if we do it right, there'll be at least two of us, dare I say three, praising God and calling His name.

It looks like the majority of you are against funding her mission but the negativity is a little strong don't you think?
I see lots of questions go unanswered on this forum and it would be awesome if we could put the same effort into those that we do cat memes.

The only effort I put into that cat meme was copy/pasting its URL on google.

And was probably the most productive thing you did all day!

With the Zika outbreak down there I would think twice before making that trip.

Hi igawa, as someone who has been on a few mission trips your best bet would be sending letters to your family and friends. Many times they would like to help compared to strangers. Sorry about the others who posted, do not take it personally. Wish you the best.

Honest question. What are you doing work wise to aide in raising the funds to go? I think people would be willing to help if you shared how your willing to help yourself. For example, a rule at Haven for Hope is that they are there to serve those who are willing to help themselves. A great example for you to emulate.
