I'm looking for recommendations for a beginner handgun/firearm class for my wife in SA.

I went to Nardis Gun Club for my LTC and was very impressed by the setup they have there and the professionalism of everyone. I can't say if they are "female friendly" but you get what you pay for and I think she would like it. I highly recommend it.

One more benefit is you can shoot a number of different fully automatic weapons they have for rent while she is taking her class. It's worth it if you haven't done it before.

Both my parents got their CHL from Gary Swan. Mr. Swan and his wife offer handgun training and run a kenpo karate dojo on Pat Booker Rd.

Highly recommend. My wife and I plan to get ours through him as well.

During the weekend 4-8 women can take their Texas Concealed Handgun License course, or just get an introduction to guns and do some shooting. Thanks for all the recommendations. I've called a couple but will look into all of them and see what fits best.

I attended a female learn to shoot course at Lone Star Handgun where you learned about handguns and had the opportunity to shoot about eight different guns. I believe they are starting to offer female only concealed handgun classes.
