Just FYI, in case it helps anyone in the area:

I have to take this route often to get to 1604 and I'm eagerly awaiting the day they put in those two lanes for that awful left turn. In the meantime, I'm taking a right onto 1604 and taking the new turnaround at New Gulibeau Rd. The only downside is the yield with a short MERGE lane...you know none of those suckers want to let you in, but even if I have to wait for the stoplight for a break in the line, I usually make better time than if I sit in that long-ass line at Braun for 5 light cycles.

If I see any indication that 1604 is backed up from the light at Braun, I wouldn't do it, but it's been a successful strategy so far.

I love I'm Alamo Ranch and your post just confused me! Hahah I just want the construction done period. I started using the Waze app and have had a lot of success in all areas except our area. Even waze can't comprehend the mess in that area. Even worse, we live right by where 151 is being elevated to hit 1604 by the new movies theatre- yayyyyyy

If you ever have to use Braun Rd. to get to 1604 from 1560 (the back way), then you've likely encountered the back-up in the left lane that forms because there is only one left turn lane at that intersection. It's a dangerous intersection because you will always see someone (but usually multiple people) use the middle lane as a turn lane when it's only intended for traffic going straight. People just don't want to wait in line, so they opt for dangerous moves.

I've started to just turn right onto 1604 to use the turn-around at New Guilbeau so I can just avoid that line and jerkwads on Braun. If this helps anyone else, then cool.

Alamo Ranch is a freakin' mess. Sometimes WAZE gets it wrong in that area, so I'll opt to use a different back-way even if it doesn't actually save time. I prefer to avoid the clusters of idiots (like the intersection of Culebra of 1604).
