Anyone know where a good place to go wet a line from time to time is? I prefer to throw artificial for bass, but also need to find a good spot to go pick up some perch and introduce my 4 year old to fishin!
quote:I was wondering about Fischer. It's a new park and TP&W stocked it, but everything I have read said only cats. Didn't know if there were perch or anything else stocked in there! Thanks!
if you just want to catch some perch to entertain a 4 year old the ponds at fischer park are good. took my daughter there a couple weeks ago, she just turned 4. frozen fishing pole with a bobber and a can of corn for bait. caught about 8 perch in 30-45 minutes or so. that was all she could sit still for.
There were a few guys out there throwing spinnerbaits for bass but i didnt see them catch anything. walking around you can see some small 6-10" bass along the banks
quote:Will have to try it there. I have tried Landa for bass several times, but it is so clear and those darn bass rarely even glance at a bait. Some big ones in there though.
Creek under the railroad tracks off of the coral to the left of #7 at land a park where the schlitterbahn employees park.

Boat? That's another post if that's the case. Bank fishing is limited. But I take my 3 yr old to under Mill st bridge or cypress bend park. Always catch small bass and sunfish. If you can get a kayak Dunlap is great fishing but you have to go around the jet ski/boat activity which is pretty much all daylight hours starting now.

No need for that kind of language.
