Looking for a good Mexican Food Cafe in New Braunfels. Would like good food plus a side room for about 16 to 18 family folks would be a real plus. Group will be about 1/2 adults and 1/2 teenagers. Thanks

El Nopalito has great food. Not sure about a party room, though. Might have to try Mamacitas.
El Nopalito is my go to hole in the wall place but they don't have a party room. Adobe Cafe has a big party room and good food.
Adobe Verde in Gruene has a party room upstairs that can hold a good size group.
If you need a separate room- Adobe Cafe, Adobe Verde, Mamacitas. But Nopalitos, Fontanas, and Herbert's can all accommodate 12 to 15 if you just call ahead. We do Parties of 10+ at all of those locations.

Herbert's taco hut will fit what you're looking for perfectly! Separate party room. Plenty of parking. Talk to the owner Bobby. He'll hook y'all up.

Adobe Cafe would be my pick.
Las Fontanas is the best Mexican food in New Braunfels hands down. Adobe Cafe is a close second. Las Fontanas doesn't have a side room, but they do seat large parties. As mentioned above, Adobe Cafe & Verde both have side rooms for parties.
+1 for el nopalito
Nopalito is awful. Terrible service, raw undercooked meat, won't do anything to fix it, etc. not once but 3 times - the last being about 2 months ago.

I love Monterrey Cafe just south of Walnut for Breakfast as well as Los Gallos up on 46 near Rudy's.
The nop has been horrible for 20 years plus. But something keeps sending me back to have the best greasy ****s ever.
There's a Herbert ' s in NB? Same as in San Marcos?
