Anyone have experience with these properties or builder, Jimmy Jacobs? We are looking at a second place in New Braunfels because we love the area. These seem like a nice option if I want to stay closer to $200k and avoid going over $300k for river frontage on Guadalupe/Comal, plus they have a garage.

I showed a client a few of these last weekend and they appear to be built pretty well. The problem is location, they are close to the Faust Street bridge but they are right next door to a light industrial area with the only thing closer being the train tracks through the area. I know this post isn't a request for a Realtor but if you are looking for investments or homes I would be glad to do some bird dogging for you.

Thanks. Not really sure what we want to do yet. Only other newer/nicer units are the River Run Condos. Those appear to be on the market forever so I'm guessing the developer is happy to keep renting them out for short-term until he gets his asking price?

Trying to find something turnkey. Some investment income through short term rentals would be nice, but don't expect we will ever break even or make money on any of them.

Look at the Inverness or comal resort on Lincoln street. May parents own a unit in the Inverness, used to have a second they sold, and my grandparents lived in Comal place for a few years. Both are extremely convenient and highly sought after for summer rentals.
