Good luck. Boerne is a hard nut to crack, but with new schools opening hopefully it won't be too difficult. As for the principals, I've met the one at Kendall (at an Aggie game watching party), don't know the one at FORES, and am acquainted with the one for the new elementary (not an Aggie). Not enough to help but can't resist a Boerne thread. If you have questions about neighborhoods, etc, we've lived here 9 years.
Welcome!
Hate to be a thread jacker, but could you recommend neighborhoods with 1+ acre lots? We looked at Bulverde this past weekend, and are also interested in Boerne.
Fair Oaks Ranch has areas with 1+ acre lots. We've been happy here. I would avoid neighborhoods right off I10 for now, construction will be a b*tch for a few more years.
Boerne itself is growing rather exponentially, and the hw46 area is experiencing growing pains because of it = more traffic issues.
If you are looking completely in the country there are issues with lack of building/zoning requirements. For instance, people who have lived in the country for years and found themselves suddenly neighbors with a new neighborhood. This area is growing a LOT.
Where will you/are you working? Commute times will be a factor.
