Gonna be in Victoria for Xmas. We have Wed-Fri to kill before we visit some in-laws in Corpus on Sat. Looking for some activities for kids (10 & 5) within a couple hours of Victoria. We live in Houston and have done most San Antonio, Austin & Galveston stuff so would prefer to find other alternatives (New Braunfels, San Marcos, Fredricksburg?). More than willing to stay overnight somewhere if there are several activities in one general location.

Depending on the kids Enchanted Rock might be fun.

Natural Bridge Caverns and wildlife zoo.

Christmas lights and riverboat tour downtown SA. If downtown at night, light show at San Fernando Cathedral is really good.

Aransas Wildlife Refuge since you are already in that area. Looks like the weather would be pretty fair.

My kids like the Victoria zoo even though it is small. In Cuero go see the Christmas lights in the park one evening. That's all i have for that area (my parents live in Cuero).

San Marcos also recently redid their children's park and it is a lot of fun.
