I agree with this. As long as you can swing the cost, it does offer a superior experience.JamesT83 said:
Go concierge. Access is night and day better than your typical overbooked PCP.
2500 and my employer pays 100% of my family plan. I just pay copays and deductibles and 20% which I get reimbursed at the end of year up to 4K for family. So concierge doesn't make since for meVernada said:I agree with this. As long as you can swing the cost, it does offer a superior experience.JamesT83 said:

I looked at it like just an added $75ish/mo to my premiums for great access.... as in could often see the doc the same hour that I called for an appointment, would receive follow-up calls to make sure things were going well, had an in-office procedure that typically would have been referred to an out-patient clinic, in-office blood draws, etc, etc.
I get it and hate to lose my dr but it is hard to spend on something I don't use very often as it is.Vernada said:
If you're currently paying nothing for health insurance then it seems to be easier to justify.
It's like paying $200/mo for your health insurance (this isn't what you are doing, it's just one way of viewing the spend) which is nothing compared to what most folks are paying.
In return for that, you get superior access to your PCP.
Now, I'm not saying you do it. But you're already getting a much better deal on health insurance than 99% of the country so you could add concierge access to your benefits and still be better than almost everyone else in the US when it comes to cost for coverage.
