Apparently I have a couple of outstanding violations in Alamo Heights from 2011 that I didn't know about until I received a recent letter saying my license won't be able to be renewed in December until they are taken care of. Two violations totaling $494 -- is it worth taking it to one of those bargain-bin traffic lawyers and paying them to get it cut in half or thrown out?

If so, any recommendations? The one I found via Google wanted $700 which obviously doesn't make financial sense.

December does not give you much time. On what grounds would you fight it ? I would just pay the fine and get it behind you and then renew your license .

I just didn't know what the success rate of the traffic lawyer types are... Pay $50 and get one of the 2 citations thrown out or the like. Probably just going to pay the thing but wanted to at least inquire since the thing is so damn old.

Ignore it, I bet the 09er jail has feather beds and great meals.

WRONG

I've used Mark Sideman before, he's good, I don't know about cheap, though.

I believe we used Mark as well but it's been forever. He wasn't overly expensive but it wasn't cheap either.
