This. You can have a good Mexican dinner here right on the Riverwalk. It's the place you see in many classic photos of the Riverwalk, too.

I'd say either Domingo or Acenar are your best bets. The food & drinks at Domingo are good and it has a nice patio. Haven't been to Acenar yet but hear the food is pretty good and has a nice patio as well (and it's set at a higher level so would prolly give you a better view of the Riverwalk, depending where you sit).

And if youre not deadset on it being on the riverwalk, would highly recommend La Fonda on Main, which is only a couple miles from the Alamo - make sure to sit outside there.

Interestingly enough, Schilo's and Casa Rio are both owned by the same family. If it was me, I'd walk up the river walk to the Pearl, take a shareride over to La Fonda on Main. Bonus points if you stop at Elsewhere for a beer on the walk back.
