Stayed at the Faust hotel. Had a DJ. When Disco Duck was played people left including us.

Earlier an 80 year old guest at the hotel complained that the music was to loud. That was at 7:45PM.

Any other places in New Braunfels worth going next year in the area..

Sorry to hear that. We used to love staying at the Faust years ago. Haven't been there since Vance sold it.

The hotel itself is great. The location is great. The entertainment not so much.

Great hotel but the brewery is pretty subpar IMO. As someone who visits lots of breweries their beer just is not good. I've given them a few chances and I'm always disappointed.

Not sure if he's still there but the guy that used to do their event planning (weddings) was a total ass. Really arrogant and condescending.

Last time I stayed we were on the second floor and experienced a legit haunting, which isn't unusual there. I don't usually subscribe to that stuff but that night was VERY strange.

We stayed in the Faust almost 20 years ago on our honeymoon. The plan was to do B&Bs and historic hotels. Out of all the locations we stayed in the Faust was at the bottom.

the restaurant/bar is filthy. The hotel is neat.

Sorry to hear that new years sucked there, to be honest I've never had a fun new years in a bar at all.

I got drunk at sidecar from about 4 to 7 and was in bed by 11. It was awesome.

Sidecar is your best bet, FYI.

The Faust Brewery is not there anymore. Just the bar. The party was outside on the patio area they just redid in the front of the street. It was set up nice. Heaters lots of seating and a bar. The DJ was just a dud. Pandora music and lights is all they needed.

Stay at Prince Solms Inn next time (above Sidecar). Built in the late 1800s - awesome location. Eat at Muck&Fuss and go to the basement bar at Sidecar.

Terry Muckenfuss is a really great guy

Is that above the piano bar?

I wouldn't call Sidecar a piano bar - but there is someone playing piano almost all the time. It's more like a speakeasy to me but that may be what you're talking about

It used to be the piano bar. They redid it and opened up Sidecar in its place
