I've banked with USAA for years and try to use on-line bill pay for everything. Most payees accept electronic payments but some USAA mails a physical check. The Comal County tax assessor-collector is not set up for electronic payments. I have a meeting scheduled with her on Friday to ask her to look into doing this. As many Veterans as we have in the area, I can't help but think there are hundreds of County residents who would take advantage of this.

How you getting around paying property taxes? You can mail a check, have them mail a check or make it easier to do electronically… and insure it gets there before it's overdue.

I'm confused. I've paid my comal county property taxes for 9 years by going onto their website and entering my USAA account info. How is this a USAA and/or comal county issue?
