How long do you want to ignore this user?
I found this in a box of old family photos. Any suggestions on how to identify this cadet and place a time frame on the photo? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry the photo is so large. Thanks.

that's a needle in a haystack search but a few tips.

The white shirt is prior to and during WWII and he was in an infantry outfit while @ A&M.

Thanks ABATT. Really appreciate the info. May have to go through yearbooks around that time frame to get an ID.

I imagine that the picture is the same one from the Longhorn. Just scan through looking for tilted covers.

The Corps Center has just about every old Aggieland/Longhorn, and I'm sure Cushing has them as well.

Thanks for the help. I'm traveling to College Station in a few weeks and will check the Corps Center and Cushing.

Hate to break it to you, but this really won't do much. That's pretty much how the vast majority wore their covers from what I can tell (having looked at 43-46 Longhorns to see pictures of my grandfather)

Haha. K. I never looked much at my grandfather's 48-51, but he was also a non-Reg.

Definitely hit up the corps center and see if they have the old aggielands like they used to. Or in this case the "longhorns". Also focus on the Infantry units when you start to look...he is wearing the crossed rifles. My guess is somewhere in the 1935-1940 range.

The white shirt and tie, along with the type of hat stack tells me that this photo was no later than about 1944 or so.

Contact Lisa Kalmus, the curator at the Corps Center. She is good at investigating!

The white shirt with the black tie was worn up until 1942. I would guess that the photo is between 1933/4 and 1942. Yes, the Corps Center does have all the yearbooks, as does Cushing.

I have to admit, I love the white shirts with the black ties!

I'm looking through the yearbooks that are here at my office (we have a pretty complete collection).

Focusing mainly on Corps outfit pictures since that seems to the only place where covers are worn for the cadets individual picture.

I looked through '30-'43 and didn't see that picture. From what I noticed in the yearbooks, the majority of the pictures that were like this one (upper body w/ cover) were cadets that were captains, second in command, and 1st sergeants within their units.

It could be that I missed his picture while looking (I will probably look again).

Thanks, thar. I really appreciate you taking the time to look through the yearbooks for me.
