If you're a returning veteran, you might be watched under DHS's Operation Vigilant Eagle by big brother for anti-government speech, investigated and committed to a mental institution. US government is targeting veterans as possible extremists/terrorists.

Check out one Veteran's story, Brandon Robb. A 26 yr old decorated US Marine Veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was detained without charges and ordered to spend up to 30 days in a mental institution for a facebook post about the way the government is operating, and the Rutherford Institute helped free him. A judge ruled there was no credible evidence to hold him. Now Brandon and the Rutherford Institute are suing for 1st, 4th (and 14th per judge) amendment violations as well as false imprisonment. He was arrested for his first amendment activities, searched and seized without probable cause and no search warrant - no evidence against him except the facebook post.

FBI and NSA are contacting other veterans to let them know their text messages and emails are being watched (per video).

Veterans are reaching out to the Rutherford Institute with similar cases. Rutherford Institute says they would say this is becoming a common occurrence. One veteran emailed the Rutherford Institute about secret training exercises going on, and the NSA showed up the next day and threatened to deport him if he didn't shut up.

Veterans, save your money. You might need it to hire good lawyers to defend yourself.

This is just sick. Something has got to be done about this. It's downright scary what the Obama administration is actively pulling before our eyes.

I wouldn't necessarily blame the man at the top on this one. For the last few years the military legal system has been trying to determine whether social media posts are to be treated like casual conversation or official communications (whether you have your military affiliation on your profile or not). You'll probably see multiple cases like this before the precedent is set.

Again, this is more military flag officers controlling their men than directions from Obama.

The OP's link was blocked by a paywall for me so I only made a cursory read of the circumstances from another news article but wasn't Brandon Raub already discharged and not subject to the UCMJ when he was arrested? He was arrested by the FBI and not the military. How is it that military flag officers are involved in this case in any way? The reference to Raub being a Marine (as far as I can tell) has no bearing on his actions after being discharged and only raised as a appeal to substantiate his claims of patriotism. What does Raub's status as a former member of the US military have to do with his prosecution?

I also didn't read the full article and probably made some bad assumptions.
