A lot of major airports have "standard terminal arrivals" which is basically a published path of waypoints and/or homing beacons you follow in order to make your way to the airport. It takes a load off ATC because they don't need to constantly vector you around. Different arrivals have different names, usually they are pretty random.

I never got an IFR ticket, but I'm fairly sure that QUABN is the name of a waypoint, a lat/long spot that aircraft navigate to/from.
