Odd thing to be upset about. In the Navy it is an optional item. Not the same for an Army uniform?

I wasn't paying attention to the time marks, but the first scene was well before the interview.

Is this another misplaced outrage tread from someone who has issues with the commandant?

I will go with the timeless response of "If it was up your ass doing flutter kicks you would know."

Don't know the guy. Never met him and have no opinion on him. However, I do know that it takes a literal act of congress to become General...so you shouldn't miss things like that at this level. Attention to detail. One thing I learned in the Corps and have carried into my military career.

One time when I was a CT. My name tag fell off. Somebody brushed it off by accident.

He gave his nametag to a child who was in attendance afer the child noted that they shared the same last name.

Is that true?

BQs used to march halftime without nametags to symbolize we were one unit.

We wore our cords in 1974-1975 after White Band won Hochmuth, parent's day 1974. There was some discussion of not wearing them game day, for the reason you give, that we were One Band.

But it was pointed out the the RVs, Cav, Unit Commanders, etc. wore their cords for halftime, and the discussion went away.

It was your Band at the time. Just letting you know the precedent in my day was if you won a cord, you got to wear it.

When my son '09 was in the Corps, I asked him why no one rolled their cords any more and he had no idea what I was talking about.

I think it's funny that the decision the classes of 75 & 76 made were different than the classes of 85 & 86.

Of course the classes of 77 & 87 were the most red ass classes but we had little to say in the decision!

Who was your son Canyon? I had a few buddies in the band.

I was a BQ, he was in C-2.

Ah, I did not know many C-2 folks.
