Graduated A&M 1941, joined & served in regular Army 1941-1944, flew with Army Air Corp 1944-1946 on B-24 Navigator 741st squadron, 455th bomb group, 15th Air Force in Italy flying 32 missions in 1944-1945. Discharged in 1946 as 1st LT, retired from reserves as LTC. Featured in Stephen Ambrose's 2001 book "The Wild Blue", a historical account of men who manned the "Liberator" of World War II, the B-24 Bomber.
