From TexAgs Sponsor, George Bush Presidential Library and Museum:

Join us as we celebrate the opening of the new exhibit "College Station: A Community History" marking 75 years of College Station. On Oct. 19, 1938, College Station – the name used for decades by the Postal Service when delivering mail via train to Texas A&M College – officially incorporated as a city. As the college grew and changed, so did the surrounding town. College Station has a rich history of military heroes, medical advancements, scientific explorations, agriculture, academia and political leaders. Hundreds of thousands of students have called "Aggieland" home, each leaving their mark, many of them choosing to stay or vowing to return. A surprising amount of culture and a burgeoning medical community, along with a favorable economy, has placed College Station on several lists as one of the best places in the country to live, raise a family and retire. Come find out why College Station has captured the hearts of so many people.

Classic Film: We've Never Been Licked
Nov. 14, 7 p.m. Free, Annenberg Presidential Conference Center
In celebration of the 75th Anniversary of College Station, We've Never Been Licked highlights the strong ties between Texas A&M, College Station and service to others. This film was created to tell the story of A&M and WWII. Relive the old army days as TAMC. Recall the traditions and spirit. This is a nostalgic tale for all Aggies, past present and future. Even non-Aggies can enjoy this tale of young love and patriotism in the face of grave circumstances. Parts of the movie were shot on campus. Following the movie, the Association of Former Students will be selling copies of the film as well as "Aggies: The True Story of Texas A&M."
