The time frame this picture is from? Am I mistaken or is it not a British military uniform ? Just found the picture interesting and wondered if anyone might be able to help me get some info on it.

Early WWII. Brits worried that Hitler would use gas, as in WWI. I think that fear abated pretty quickly.
