Final Review will be on the main Drill Field this year!!!!!!

I remember my cousin's final review was on Simpson Drill Field back in '02. Honestly it makes no difference for the cadets, marching is marching whether or not its on Kyle Field or Simpson. Just kinda blows for the parents coming to watch I guess.

It made a difference to me back in the early 90's
Kyle Field (Fake Turf back then) meant nuked out low quarters with green crap all over them and polish melted down to a neat St. Patty's Day Hershey bar shoe shine. Also there was no breeze on the Field and it could get brutal hot.
Simpson had grass and at least you could get a breeze there.

I recall a time or two on Simpson wearing Summer A's with combat boots and trousers bloused because of the mud.

Final reviews 82-86 on the Drill Field.

It should have always been at the drill field. The one link to the tradition for all the old army classes, as that's where it was always held. I heard why they moved it to Kyle, but think it's BS. There's just something about walking across that drill field arm in arm and shoulder to shoulder with your classmates.

I hope they can keep it there.

Folks need to remember that Final Review is about the seniors, not the parents and families. Keep it at Simpson! Put up more bleachers if they want seating.
