Saw it last night in SA, too. Powerful movie. Comms are always interesting - those scenes looked realistic to me - good RTP, etc. The Aviation lift/insertion/extraction SNAFUs were sad. Left me wondering why they weren't inserted via UH-60's instead of CH-47D's? Kinda like comparing an 18 wheeler to a pickup truck. SEAL Cdr made an emotionally bad decision and got folks killed. Hard to second guess the guy on the ground but it rolled around in my head some on making the hard call in a hurry. My nephew spent time in Afghan flying AH-64's and I haven't had the chance yet to talk to him about the experience. He is at Rucker now going thru his Advanced Course. One of these days I will talk to him - when he is ready. Is there a book out on this already? Has to be more to the story than what the movie was able to cover/explain.
Hard not to cry at the end. Wifey did lots. Freedom isn't free.
