The Museum of the American G.I. is having a fundraiser BBQ dinner on Friday, March 21, in conjunction with their annual Open House. The cost is $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 years and older. This year, as in the past, you may also purchase $25 tickets to send local area veterans to the dinner. Many of our local area WWII and Korean War vets are in special care facilities, and don’t have the opportunity to get out much. This dinner provides the veterans with an outing and provides the museum and the community with another opportunity to recognize the veteran’s contributions and sacrifices. Transportation for the veterans will be provided.
At this year’s dinner, the museum is proud to present a special viewing of the Kenneth Michael Absher collection of Robert Taylor WWII aviation art prints. In addition, the AR-15 rifle being raffled will be on display. Tickets for the rifle raffle will be available for purchase. The room opens at 6:00PM, with dinner being served at 6:30PM. Tickets may be purchased from museum personnel or online at dinner2014@magicstx.org. Thank you for your support!
