Hey! We're working to start an official Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB) chapter in Bryan/College Station.

Team RWB believes that getting the community involved in its veterans and the veterans involved in the community aids in reintegration. They do this through physical and social activities, understanding that physical fitness helps with PTS and mental health.

As a wife of a recently separated veteran, it's important to me to help create a network of veterans and supportive, knowledgeable civilians in the community so that other families have access to resources for an easier transition to civilian life.

We're planning a kickoff meeting in the near future to really get things going and nail down even dates and positions. In the mean time, I welcome you to join and share the facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/TeamRWBBrazosValley/) to learn about updates and upcoming events.

In addition, for any other veteran or spouse that may be struggling with the transition to civilian life, please know you're not alone and that I'm more than happy to help or listen at any time.

My husband passed away several years ago and I have been looking for an organization for Veterans to offer his clothes to. The American Legion and VFW doesn't have any kind of a program, but I know there are Veterans who are going on job interviews and into the Work Force and may need something very nice to wear. Or, they just may need to "rebuild" their wardrobe. Jeans, slacks, dress shirts, polo shirts, sports jackets, suits, ties...well, he had a closet full of very nice clothes because I loved to shop for him. If there is any interest from the Team Red, White and Blue, please let me know...I would love to donate them.
