I feel a bit helpless - My fate now lies entirely with the Board for Correction of Military Records and the OTS Selection Board.
Sometime between now and probably the beginning of August, the Board for Correction of Military Records will decide whether or not to vacate my discharge under DADT. If the decision is favorable, the BCMR will also determine if I should be reinstated.
I had posted about this previously and figured it might be beneficial to post this as an update for those who were interested and had offered advice and encouragement.
Even though I am going through the BCMR process, SECAF cleared me to apply to OTS, but the federal budget has resulted in an indefinite suspension of all OTS selection boards. The clock is ticking and I could run out of time because I have to make it back in with a commission before mid-September 2015. The OTS process is 12-16 months from the Board date.
I have no choice but to find solace in trusting this will work out how it is meant to work out.
