Laterron, or "LT" as he was called, passed away yesterday while he was out for a run at the age of 24. LT was not in my E-2 class but he was my cousin's best friend in the outfit and considered to be a part of our family.

He was a fine young man that I had the privilege of getting to know. LT loved Jesus, being an Aggie, and serving his country in the USMC. Please keep his family and friends in your prayers.

Bad news indeed. I was in E2, but met Lee when I was the OSO. He was a great young man. Tough loss for his family, friends, the USMC and Aggies everywhere. I'm praying for his family.

I will never forget his smile. He was always a happy person...even during the rough days of being an E-2 fish. One of the best...

I remember him as a fish, he was always so tall.

Too damn young.

I got to know LT through my time in the Corps of Cadets and at the The Basic School in Quantico. He was in the bible study group that our company had every Wednesday night. I don't remember anything other than a smile on his face and he always asked how everyone was and rarely spoke of himself. T&P for his family and loved ones. Truly grateful that I was able to know him for the time that I did.
