How long do you want to ignore this user?
I recently applied for a Production Controller position with the National Guard (USA Jobs) and the position requires that I enlist in the National Guard if I receive the job (not currently enlisted).

I have a few questions about this opportunity:

1) Do I even have a chance or does a position like this go to typically someone already enlisted?

2) How does being a member of the National Guard in this role differ from a civilian in the National Guard?

3) Will I still have the opportunity to take part in all the training and perhaps pursue OCS?

Thanks

Never heard of anyone getting a job requiring Guard membership who isnt currently in the Guard. Not to say that it has never happened, but depending on the MOS required, it could be a long wait for you to be trained (10 weeks basic, plus MOS training) to start working, and learning the ins and outs of the military.

Are you certain it is a civilian job and not AGR? Sounds like the latter.

And those job usually have ranks attached to them, they may only want to pay an E-5 pay grade, and you going to OCS would probably disqualify you.

more than likely the position is dual status technician. AGR doesn't advertise on USA jobs.
