Cross-posted on History: Sorry if this has been posted before (I didn't find anything in the search).
There is an amazing video on D-Day being shown until Nov. 11 at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. It is about 45 minutes long and is in 3D (which I don't normally like, but it was well done). Active Military & Veterans can get in free with military ID.
Even those not really interested in history (or at least not interested in WWII) enjoyed it and said they learned something. They mentioned how they wished they would have learned more of this in school. Not really groundbreaking for those with more knowledge on the subject, but still good. This isn't the best trailer as far as capturing the feel of the video, but all of the images are straight from the full-length video (to give you a feel for the different types of things presented): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwwDIvvV-NM
