I'm curious; does anyone know when Class Sets began, and if they're still going up? If so, the class of 2053 is going to have a hell of a go at it.

We still do class sets (by name), they're just a lot smaller. I'm class of '15, when we were fish a class set was 115. My sophomore year (12-13) they changed the rule so that we're only supposed to do a class set as 15. Class of '17 does 17, etc. It was obviously a lot more challenging with bigger class sets, but that's how it is now.

Considering that for many a "class set" had turned into "hover 1/2 inch above the ground and wiggle enough to let yourself contact the ground ___ times," I'm not sure it's all that much of a loss.

Not mine ('86). Not full push ups, but damn close to it...

^^^^^^THIS! ^^^^^^^ You were very much a stud if you could crank out a class set without a leaning rest thrown in. And God help you if you were on a sh*t list with class set for every Butt or Zipp in the hallway at the time.
Was watching the Yell Leaders do some stupid looking act at Yell Practice the other night. WTH was that???
