I am quite livid about this. The color guard, a position of traditional honor, meant to properly display and protect the flag of the United States actually disgraces it.

Where else are they gonna keep the flags so they can enjoy the game and not do their job?

At a minimum they could have rolled the flag up and stacked it upright against a wall. Had I seen that, i would have had a few words with the two service members standing by the flag. And yes, I'm a veteran.

Too lazy to google, but read somewhere that those were parachutes from the game ball delivery. They look like flags to me, but I'll be the devil's advocate for this one.

Looks like it's more flag girls than color guard. Another thing, which may just be the angle, is that the stars don't look like it's the normal 50 layout, which would technically make it not a flag.

Given that the dudes in uniform are not wearing flag harnesses, and the flag directly adjacent to the American flag is obviously not a real flag, and the pole from the American flag looks very short ( something like a flag team would use), I am going to go ahead and say we need to give these cadets (or whoever they are) the benefit of the doubt
