How long do you want to ignore this user?
I just finished "The Hornet's Nest" and I'm searching for further movies/literature from OIF/OEF.

I have watched "Generation Kill", "American Sniper", "Restrepo", and "Korengal".
I have only read "Lone Survivor" and "Horse Soldiers".

What other books or docs do you recommend? I have all the time in the world right now to knock them out.
Thank You.

Check out The November War. I haven't gotten around to it yet but I hear it's good. About the Marines in Fallujah '04.

Rage Company was a good book and Severe Clear is on Netflix.

I can second most of those recommendations. I would add the book One Bullet Away, This Man's Army, & the book Generation Kill in that order.

For most valuable overall perspective I recommend The Gamble. For a first person small unit perspective (& readability) I recomend One Bullet Away.

Also I am hyper biased in favor of "Not a Good Day to Die" but most folks I recomend it to are indifferent.

I thought "Joker One" was an outstanding account of a Marine Corps infantry platoon in Ramadi. It is a must read for future platoon commanders. A real honest assessment of the ebbs and flow, ups and downs and a great look for outsiders into the relationships that fighting men form. I loved it.
