John R. Stephenson '55 shared a story of Aggie friendship at this year's muster ceremony in Wichita Falls, Texas. In September 1951, a group of six 18 year-old men met for the first time as freshmen members of the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University. They were all assigned to dormitory rooms in Walton Hall, which became their new home. The group's bond spanned 60 years. It is generations of men and women the likes of the "Walton Six" who are, in fact, the true Spirit of Aggieland.
