Texas A&M University's Corps of Cadets are going global with their education thanks to the Corps Global Leadership Initiative. The program is designed to focus on international awareness, regional expertise and language competence among cadets. The excursions normally consist of 10 to 12 days in countries that are strategically important to U.S. interests, such as Egypt, Morocco, Germany, Poland, China, Taiwan, Singapore and Chile.

Clayton Sorem '13, who participated in the Qatar excursion recalls his experience, "We learned about some of our misconceptions of the Middle East. I also saw how various factors lead people to completely different conclusions about certain topics and none are necessarily wrong."
