I'm trying to help my father-in-law get the word out about an event at the Bush Library on September 22nd. Allan Andrade wrote a book about the Leopoldvilles Disaster and we speak at the library on September 22nd. They would really like to get some Corps folks there if there is any interest.

It is a very interesting subject for those not familiar. Apparently Ike pulled major stings for most of his life to keep this under wraps as it was a major embarrassment for the military. My wife's great uncle was killed when the boat sunk, and his mother never knew what happened to him. The military records had him as missing in action until only very recently.
Thanks,
