At my 50th Reunion in 2010 my wife and I were sitting on the floor in Reed when I noticed there didn't seem to be many if any Cadets in attendance. I mentioned this to some of my Classmates and we all started scanning the gym to find any uniformed Cadets. We found two small pockets in the stands of about 15 to 20 Cadets each, but that was it. Since we were at the back of Reed we were able to get on the stairs and viewed the floor but spotted only a few Cadets.

I understand that part of the Corps are RV's and I assume another group probably helps with Muster but why weren't the rest in the stands? I can assure you my fish and pisshead years we were marched to Muster which took place outside at the MSC. My junior year I attend in my hometown. My final year I can't recall how I made it to Muster but probably walked over with my Classmates.

Question, does the Corps still attend Campus Muster? If yes (and I hope this is the answer) can they attend non-reg? Since I never had attend a Campus Muster since leaving A&M I have lost touch with how Muster is handled.

Thanks,
A Person

As far as I know the whole Corps still goes

I know the whole band is always there

Fish usually went early and saved seats for the upper classmen. So, depending on when you looked, it is possible you saw groups of fish saving seats for everyone. While I was there, every one attended Muster and I seem to remember going in Midnights.

I forgot about the band they were there. I was looking for the rest of the Corps. We were looking just before the start of Muster.

You seemed to have answered your own question. As a junior you didn't go. As a senior you can't remember if you went. There's your answer

I was there in 2010 and sat with my old outfit. Pretty sure that near the entire Corps was there, but when I got there none of the upperclassmen from my outfit had reached yet, just the fish.

As a junior I did go to Muster--just went in my home town. As a senior I can remember I went, just can't recall if the outfit marched over or everyone went on there own.

From my experience the cadets are sitting in two's and three's and would be hard to recognize interspersed with all the other students, especially from the floor looking up into the stands. .

You made a big deal out of cadets being at the campus Muster, and you said you hoped cadets were required to go to the campus Muster.

You relayed an anecdote in which you were upset because you didn't see enough cadets at the campus Muster, but then you followed that up by saying you didn't go to the campus Muster at least once as a cadet. In essence, you answered your own question.

And you don't need to out people on the Internet (especially if you aren't really leaving the thread), there isn't a line of people waiting for the 1s and 0s to be open
