Just wanted to inform everyone that at Ft. Hood we had an LMTV get swept away in a low water crossing. The latest tally I have heard are 3 safe, 4 dead, 5 missing. Our aviators are entering 24 hour Ops for search and rescue. They are working with civilian helicopters as well, although communication is difficult. We have working dogs on the ground too.

Please keep our soldiers in your prayers. I am told the unit is 3-16 FA.

Another reminder that even peacetime training is hazardous.

When I was young that sort of training accident was, unfortunately,a common occurrence at Fort Hood. Always an M-113 or an M-60 flipped over in Cowhouse Creek. There was tremendous amount of water in that creek and its tributaries yesterday.

Rescue/recovery will be tough, There is an much water flowing in the Cowhouse at Pidcoke as there is in the Brazos at Waco right now, 25,000 cfs (cubic feet per second).

All found. 9 dead.

Called off? I thought all bodies had been found.
