My Grandfather fought and was severely wounded in the Meuse - Argonne offensive in WWI. He always called today "Armistice Day". …. because of the armistice to end WWI on today in 1918.
Cool that President Dwight Eisenhower signed the bill in 1954 making it the now Veterans Day to honor all veterans that served in the U.S. Military!
