Looking for a nice bottle of whiskey to get for my boss as a xmas gift. Tends to just drink it on ice. Thinking the $75 range. I don't know much about whiskey's though.

My go to has become High West, specifically the double rye. However your budget allows for more than that'll cost you.

Thanks all so far. I was able to get a little more info I think may help. His go to is Whistle Pig (Rye) and Blanton's (Bourbon).
