Have had my eye on the 1050 series for a while now, but the 800 series as with the optional griddle setup was too much to pass up. I currently gave a Pitt boss pellet vertical cabinet and though I think it works well, I find the Smokey flavor it produces lacking.

Any of you have experience with this thing? Almost seems too good to be true.

A buddy of mine is using one in his bbq food truck. He uses wood chunks for the smoking. Seems to love it. The bbq is pretty good. Definitely not as good as off a stick, but very consistent.

It's awesome! Only knock is it's cheaply made. Already had to order replacement door that broke off.

Gravity feed smokers in general are great. They hit that sweet spot of convenience and great results. I'm not sure about the model/brand you linked - its not like any gravity feed smoker I've seen before and seems "cheap".

I built my own gravity feed smoker and my firebox is 1/2" steel lined on the inside with firebrick. The thing probably weighs 800 lbs.
