How long do you want to ignore this user?
Going here for the first time on Saturday. They open at 8 but what is the best time to get there? I hear they can have some pretty long lines.

I'd imagine it will be pretty slammed since this is their first weekend to open back up. See if you can do a preorder.

I would recommend getting there between 6-6:30 if you don't want to stand in line all day.

PROTIP: Go on a bad weather day, the line will be shorter.

Say hello to Kerry (Snow) and Tootsie for me.

I admire your dedication, OP. 6:15 am is proper. I hope you brought a deck of cards or a box of bones to while away the time.

Uhhhhhhhh yeah. Got in line at 6:15, got our food at 9:45. We got brisket, ribs, pork steak and both types of sausage. 4th place was the pork steak. Everyone was raving in line about how good it was and it was definitely very good but it still came in 4th. 3rd place is the sausage. I'm not a huge sausage fan because most places it is just very bland. However the sausage here was very good. Great flavor. 2nd place was the ribs. The ribs were very very good. I wouldn't say the are the best I've ever had but they are top 3 for sure. Stanley's in Tyler, Tx is my favorite rib and Snow's is probably second. 1st place is the brisket. Holy sh*t. Best brisket I've ever had hands down and it's not even close. Granted I've never been to Franklins in Austin but I've been to a lot of the other highly ranked places and this beat all of them. It was so freaking moist, the fat within the brisket melted in your mouth instead of being chewy. The bark/meat had incredible flavor. I can't say enough about the brisket. Once again everything is great. 4th place for the pork steak doesn't mean it's bad it's just my personal preference in the order of what I tried. Would I wait in a long line again? You bet your ass I would.

Well, makes sense. Brisket is why people go there.

All of the other stuff you can find better elsewhere.

I wouldnt wait 10 minutes in line for anyone's pork steak.

I think the smoked chicken is the best thing there. Their brisket is tops as well.

Nice. That's not too bad for opening day.

I'm a fan of the pork steak, but yeah... it doesn't touch the ribs or brisket. Agree on the brisket. It's my #2 behind Franklin. I miss that place.

When we went they were out of ribs. The brisket was of course, awesome but the pork steak was the biggest surprise ... it was so dang good.

To me, Franklins/Snows Brisket are both amazing and 1a 1b no order.

I also enjoy Louie Mueller's in Taylor, and think their beef rib is a must-try once.

Couple of weeks ago, the line wasn't as long at 7:30am. I would have to guestimate that its still a couple hour wait.

Was not impressed with the brisket when I went a year or so ago. Brisket was tender but tasted like a roast. Not bad but definitely not how a brisket should taste.

Might have been a bad day. I hope you also ordered the pork steak, which is one of the best barbecue bites I've ever eaten.
