We will only have power 1hr at a time (with 60-150 mins between) , likely thru Saturday. We have a well stocked freezer and pantry, but limited ability to get to a grocery store. What should we cook? I figured this thread will be useful to a few million other Texans this week.

Tomorrow we're doing seared ahi tuna filets with buckwheat soba and stir fried chinese broccoli.

Well stocked freezer and pantry isn't much direction to go by. And probably limited use to a million others with pantries and freezers stocked with different stuff.

That's precisely our struggle. I have venson back strap, pork butt, ham, brisket, swordfish, etc. I have flour, pasta, oil, dried mushroom, bonito, etc. I don't have fresh vegetables.
I have unlimited time to prep ingredients.

But I only have 1hr to cook. That's my struggle.

You didn't say anything about what you have to cook with. Between my gas range, Blackstone griddle, and BGE the only thing that's really changed is using a La Cruset instead of an Instant Pot and limited use of the microwave. I'm usually in the grocery store 4-6 times/week so I am missing fresh veggies the most. I'm running Workshop LEDs off of a small generator so the light situation has been the most annoying part.

I found out I can make a pretty good risotto when I can't see ***** I relied a lot more on taste, smell, sound and feel and it turned out well. My only screwup was not grinding coffee before the power went out.

Our issue is water. Have resulted to grilling or anything with no dishes since our dishwasher is already full and we have a counter top full of pots and pans. If it can't go in the trash, we aren't using it.

How were you planning on cooking the pork butt, ham, and brisket before you lost power? In the oven? Do you have access to a bbq pit, grill or anyway to cook over an open flame outside? If not, you can easily cook the swordfish in 15 min on the stove, pasta is easy unless no water. Is the ham already cooked? Could cut the brisket and chop into hamburgers and cook in 5 min. Do you have soups?
