I'm running low on the bottle I brought back from overseas last year and now I'm addicted to using a fruity olive oil to finish steaks/pasta/breads.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for something local, otherwise I'm going to order something online.

TIA

Where do you live? Central Market has a great olive oil selection.

Houston area. I'll check our their selection.

Was wondering if anyone had a favorite brand/producer.

Look for an oil and vinegar shop near you. I don't know about Houston, but there are a couple of great shops in DFW for this kind of stuff. Usually have a big selection of all kinds of oils and vinagars that you can sample and buy by the bottle. Some will charge you for the bottles initially, but will clean and refill your bottle for you when it's time for something new, so once you have the bottle you only pay by volume for the oil/vinegar you fill it with on future visits, much like buying draft beer by the growler.

California Olive Ranch is our go to. We've had some olive oils while traveling we liked more but we like this more than just about everything we've tried in specialty olive oil shops and this is everywhere. Heb, target, etc.

I use that one too. Unless I can be certain of the source, Italian olive oil is really sketchy on its provenance.

California government has more rules and regulations than your family's house rules for monopoly. If they say it is EVOO, it is EVOO. About the only worthwhile thing to come out of that state.

I buy from this website. Usually delivered very quickly. I've never been disappointed and you can try different products from all over Italy and Sicily. https://www.olio2go.com/

I've never had anything bad, and usually try the recommendations. Unfortunately, I've never made a list or reordered anything. I'm still looking for my favorite. There is a restaurant in Houston that sells its own olive oil. I have found it once before outside the restaurant at a Spec's in the deli section. Probably my favorite Italian food anywhere. Restaurant is Da Marco's in Montrose. Their oil is extremely fruity (lots or pear) and is just delicious.
