Are there any specialty stores in texas (preferably houston) that specialize in cheese?

Would love to take my wife there for her to pick out cheese for her birthday....

its more fun to shop in person rather than amazon, just in case someone said 'order online!'... lol

Specs? Closest I can think of.

Haven't been to Houston in years. If there's two CBD shops on every block I would imagine there being a cheese shop somewhere.

The flagship Specs or Central Market. There could be a cheese store here, but I've never seen one.

Houston Dairymaids is the *****

Also, whoever curates the wines for that place is on point. Always super reasonable and delicious.

Edit: I can't say "****"?!? I thought this was America!?!

There's this place! Saw tons of signs for it on the way from CS to Fort Worth.

EOT. They did a pretty cool weekly cheese tasting as well. They've scaled it back some since COVID, though.

I don't know how it is down there, but my local king soopers (Kroger) easily has 100 cheeses at the little cheese bar. The cheese lady will let you sample anything, and is very knowledgeable.

I know it's not very romantic or anything compared to a boutique type place, but it gets the job done and you can have her pick up the rest of the groceries while she's there.

I don't think the objective is to just purchase cheese.

Houston Dairymaids is a great option.
