Looking for some different chicken salad recipes. I know it's so simple but just wanna see what the TA people have to offer!

Pickles are fruit....

Queen Vic pub in Houston (now closed) had a really good (spicy) Curry chicken salad with cashews on a pretzel bun. Try to make that and let me know how it turns out.

The key to good chicken salad is walnuts, green grapes and celery. Add in a dash of Nature's seasoning, too, for that sweet/salty combo.

My go to recipe is from a 40-year old Good Housekeeping cookbook that belonged to my Mom:

2/3 cup mayo (I prefer Hellman's Light)
2 Tbs. cider vinegar
1 tsp salt
1 cup sliced celery
1 cup minced green pepper
2 tsp grated onion
4-5 cups chopped cooked chicken (recommend using rotisserie)

In a large bowl combine mayo, vinegar and salt using a fork. Add chicken and remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and refrigerate.

I use it to make Romaine lettuce chicken salad wraps.

Good chicken salad doesn't need onion. Green onion if you can't live without it, but atleast it doesn't have the same gross flavor (and texture).

Exactly. That's the base and go from there. Often times it's just the mood as to what you include.

There will be no consensus on this because chicken and mayo as a base are versatile. Arguing which brand/type of chicken and which brand of mayo to use are more productive.
